To give up one’s own existence and become non-existent in God , that is , to bind ones’s heart completely to God , is shortest way to God . Whoever has given his heart to the Divine Truth has no “self ” left . It is god who moves every particle of him. In this way that person no longer acts in accordance with his ego , doing the bad things that would cause harm to others. He has become enfolded in the moral principles of God . Exalted Mohammed and the Exalted Mevlana are examples of these qualities for us.

Mevlana is limitless being , unable to be contained this world. He is the Divine Voice giving the good news to those seeking beauty , truth , goodness , light and Divine Truth. He is the voice of mercy offering consolation to those under tyranny. He is the breath of healing , bestowing health on those crying out in separation. He is the teacher of humanness to humans. ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

A Journey into Mystical Tradition:
The Whirling Dervishes ceremony, also known as Sema, is a 800-year-old sacred ritual of the Mevlevi Order, founded  Sufi mystic Rumi in Konya. This spiritual practice was proclaimed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity  UNESCO in 2005, recognizing its profound cultural significance.

What to Expect:
Traditional Sema Ceremony
Witness the mesmerizing whirling meditation performed  trained dervishes in authentic white robes, spinning continuously for extended periods in a state of spiritual ecstasy.

Live Classical Music:
Experience the haunting sounds of traditional Turkish instruments including ney (reed flute), oud, and kudum drums, accompanying the dancers in perfect harmony.

Historic Venue:
The ceremony takes place in a beautiful historic venue with stunning Ottoman-era architecture, providing an authentic atmospheric setting.

It was an amazing experience to witness the Sema ceremony. It is a weekly ceremony in an actual monastery. I was in search of an authentic whirling dervish ceremony and I am glad that I found one. The staff was very helpful and hospitable. Clear instructions and video was sent to find the place easily. The introductory video before the ceremony could be shorter. Photos and videos were allowed. Bon espectacle que recomano. Es coneix també els mevleví com a dervixos giradors o giròvags perquè tenen una cerimònia de dansa-meditació, anomenada Sama , que consisteix en una dansa masculina acompanyada per música de flauta i tambors. Els dansaires giren sobre ells mateixos amb els braços estesos, simbolitzant “l'ascendència espiritual cap a la veritat, acompanyats per l'amor i alliberats totalment de l'ego”. La cerimònia es va originar entre els místics de l' Índia i els sufís turcs.
